Inspired by a summer day with my grandkids picking blueberries, this basket is based on and Appalachian Pack Basket pattern. Done smaller, it is a flat basket in the back with a belly front. Learn the basics of this basket and use your imagination to change it up to your needs: berry-picking basket, sling purse, wall basket, supply holder or mini-back-pack. Simply change the handle treatment.

Basket will be natural color with choices of accent color.

Assorted twill tapes and rivets will be provided to create a handle or sling if desired. Different handle treatments will be demonstrated.

Basket Kit: $25 – Instructor will supply basket supplies and buckets for water.

Student will need scissors or clippers.  Reed clippers and nippers will be available for purchase for an additional fee between $6-$12 depending on students’ preference.

Finished size: approximately 7” x 7 “ x 9”

Skill level: beginner to intermediate
