I am SO grateful I had the opportunity to attend this event. I have been too many art & crafts related events, two other art retreats and Art is You takes the CAKE!!!

I didn’t feel like I was going to class. I feel as though I was gathering with my art sisters and art brothers to create an art piece that will be treasured. When I look at my projects, I remember the process, our conversations and our good times.

I met people that I will be friends with forever including a new international one.

The artists didn’t make me feel inferior. They were open to share their knowledge, time and presence.

I absolutely love the art trunk sale and Scott’s morning talks too. (even though Im not a morning person).

I also love the energy you and Ellen brought to the event. You are both angels.

I’m also glad Jen Cushman and Misty Grosse was there because I met them at the first art retreat I ever attended a few years ago. I think 2012.

I’m not sure how I’m going to get back to Art is You next year, but I’m going to try my best.

I attached a few of my favorite pictures.

Your New Art Sister,

Kwantwell

Our friend Kwan can be found here where she blogs regularly about life and art.  While she claimed to not be a morning person, she showed up every morning with grace and enthusiasm. Participating in every moment she could.  It was a joy to make a new art friend.
